SHS WEEKLY REMINDERS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

WEEK OF JANUARY 28, 2024

Dear Smithfield High School Families and Students,

I am pleased to introduce you to Weekly Reminders and Announcements, our new initiative to keep you connected with the happenings of Smithfield High School. As your principal, my goal is to ensure that every family feels informed, involved, and integral to our school community.

This newsletter will be delivered to your inbox each week, and a copy will be made available on the school's website for your convenience. Weekly Reminders and Announcements is designed to be your essential guide, providing timely updates, celebrating our collective achievements, and spotlighting the unique happenings within our vibrant community.

While this newsletter is primarily a conduit from the school to your home, we welcome your thoughts on how we can continue to improve and ensure it serves the needs of our community effectively. Together, we can ensure that it becomes an informative and integral part of your weekly routine.

I am excited about this new journey in fostering transparent and engaging communication within our Smithfield High School family.

SHS WELCOMES JULIANNA RIVELLI TO MUSIC ROLE

We are delighted to welcome Juliana Rivelli, a distinguished soprano with over 10 years of performance experience, as our new long-term substitute teacher. A proud alumna of Smithfield, Juliana brings a wealth of knowledge in Classical, Jazz, Musical Theater, and other Contemporary Commercial Music voice studies, which she began at the young age of 9. Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from The College of Saint Rose and a Master of Music in Classical Voice Pedagogy from Shenandoah University, she has honed her skills in prestigious voice studios and through her own private voice studio, Rivelli Voice Studio.

Juliana steps in to continue the incredible work of the late Katherine Young, a beloved member of our school community whose legacy will always be cherished. We are confident that Juliana’s passion for music and education will inspire our students and honor Ms. Young’s remarkable impact. Please join us in giving Juliana Rivelli a warm Smithfield welcome as she returns to her alma mater to share her expertise and enthusiasm with us.

Your insights and participation are invaluable in making Smithfield High the best it can be. Please RSVP at this link so we can prepare accordingly. Looking forward to some great conversations!
