2nd grade partner sharing

Hello OCRS families,

Happy Fall! We had quite an abrupt transition to the cooler fall weather this past Friday. Some students were caught off guard and did not have warm sweatshirts/jackets for outdoor morning arrival and recess. It's probably time for students to start dressing in layers for school so that they are warm enough to be outside first thing in the morning. Students can store sweatshirts/jackets in their lockers when it gets warmer later in the day. One of the advantages of OCRS being built as a junior high school are the lockers which give our students a place to store their things.

Unified Day this Friday, September 30th

In partnership with the Smithfield Special Education Local Advisory Committee, the district is celebrating Unified Day this Friday to show support for all students who have 504 plans and IEPs. We are inviting everyone, students and staff, to wear green to school on Friday!

The Smithfield Special Education Local Advisory Committee (SSELAC) is a volunteer organization of parents who provide information, advocacy, and community connections for all Smithfield families whose children have a 504 plan or IEP within the district. Families can find additional information about the SSELAC and upcoming events in this linked flyer.
