Dear Families,
We are thrilled to share that Miss Altieri, grade 4 teacher, was awarded the Positivity Award for the month of November by the Smithfield Special Education Local Advisory Committee (SSELAC).

The Brain Show Assembly was a huge hit with the students and staff yet again. We appreciate the generosity of our PTO for providing this assembly. We also appreciate Mrs. MJ and Mr. Marino for relocating their classes during this time.
Our Feinstein Food Drive is under way. Please continue to send in your food donations to support families in our community. The last day for donations is December 15th.
Please be sure to read our weekly newsletter in its entirety! It’s a busy time of year at PVES!
There is NO SCHOOL for Parent Conferences on Wednesday, December 11th.
Holiday Event 12/6
Tonight is our Holiday Event. The sensory friendly hours are from 5:30-6:00pm with the event running from 6:00-8:00pm. Please enter the front of the school through door 2 (cafeteria).
PVES Pandas Are Kind! A Message Of Gratitude From Mrs. Dohoney
Pleasant View Elementary School students have spread Mr. Alan Shawn Feinstein’s message in a number of ways this fall! Students in all classes discussed and wrote about their gratitudes. Ideas were collected in Gratitude Jars, were shared during Morning Announcements, and are displayed on posters throughout the school.
Also around the school, students can be heard using manners and greetings with each other and with staff members. This is a result of our increased focus on “treating others with kindness.” We are so proud of our polite Pandas as they demonstrate kindness daily!
Their kindness extended beyond our school with the school’s Food Drive, organized by 5th grade students. Requests were made for donations from each grade level to collect a variety of items. Thanks to the generosity of our students and their families, we were able to donate many items to help local residents in need.
A Message From The YMCA
The YMCA has openings for students in the afternoon. Please reach out to abby@ymca1.org if you are in need of after school daycare.
