September 13th, 2024
Dear Families,
Thank you for attending our Open House. We were so pleased to see so many families in attendance.
Our volunteer training sessions had over 75 parents in attendance! We are looking forward to having so many volunteers at PVES!

The walking school bus returns on Wednesday, September 18th. Thank you Mrs. Traverse for organizing this opportunity for our school community! Join us if you can!
New News!
We are pleased to share that Amanda Carr MSW, LCSW a school-based clinician with Gateway Healthcare, is working in the district to help connect the community with outside resources.
Student Shout Outs
Mrs. Dohoney and Mrs. Viera will soon begin doing student shout outs to parents via email or phone call weekly. We are celebrating successes such as earning all their points on their chart, good manners, nice classroom participation, being a good friend, great perseverance, and being role models.
Boosterthon
We are excited to announce the kickoff of our Pleasant View Fun Run fundraiser! Our goal is to raise $30,000 to enhance our school’s resources and provide our students with the best possible educational experience.
Student lanyards are going home today to enable a quicker way for families and friends to donate!
This year we are raising funds for field trips and enrichment programs. Additionally, if we hit our $30,000 goal, we will have a SCHOOLWIDE Pajama Day!
We encourage all families to…

Attendance Matters
Missing a day here or there may not seem like a problem, but school absences add up quickly. Missing two days a month—excused or unexcused—can add up to a child being considered chronically absent.

A Message from Chef Fritz
Milk is only included when a lunch bundle is purchased. So if your child would like milk there needs to be money in their account. The cost of milk is 75 cents per carton.
Buddy Bench
Our playground has a new Buddy Bench from Winsor School. The purpose of the Buddy Bench is for students that do not have a buddy to play with, sit on the bench. Then any friend from the playground that sees that will ask the student to play. Students were taught how to use the Buddy Bench during their lunch break on Wednesday.
Thank you to Michelle Plouffe for cleaning it up. Also a “HUGE” thank you to Mr. Plouffe and Mr. Casazza for moving the Buddy Bench to the playground.
We appreciate our partnership with you, our families! Have a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Mrs. Dohoney & Mrs. Viera
